Up-to-Date Overview: The Latest Developments in German Toll Refunds (Toll-Collect) as of July 2023

Currently, all administrative proceedings are in the “Ruhendstellung” phase, which means they are awaiting the decision of the Cologne Administrative Court in the pivotal “model” case concerning the application of the Wegekostengutachten 2013 and 2018. This decision will have a significant impact on the cases in question. Based on the responses received from BAG/BLM and confirmed by their office over the phone, they are presently processing and paying claims submitted through their online application for the period between 28.10.2020 and 30.9.2021, depending on their capacity. However, claims for the period spanning 2017 to 2021 are not yet being paid.

Rest assured, we are closely monitoring the progress of the court proceedings in Cologne. As of now, no decision has been issued. Once the court releases its decision, we will promptly inform you that a resolution to your cases can be expected in the near future.
